Bought parking for all sessions but ended up using Lyft for this trip. Anyone need a free Saturday parking pass? I can transfer via Ticketmaster. Or thinking of making it a giveaway at the Friday live show…. Thoughts?

NCAAs Solo Gym Nerds

This is my first NCAA Championships and I'm super excited but will be solo - was wondering if there were any other solo (or non-solo) gymnerds who would be interested in meeting up or hanging out in Fort Worth!

So sad there was no College & Cocktails following the Corvallis Regional Final. Using a World Cup Soccer term, this was the Group of Death. The meet delivered so impressively from a fan’s standpoint. So much drama. Scores heading into the final rotation:

Utah 148.150

UCLA 148.100

Minn 148.100

Bama 147.800

#13 seed Minnesota was no one’s pick to advance and they come from nowhere to punch their ticket. Utah’s streak is broken. Alabama (#5 nationally) falters. UCLA makes a comeback to place 1st in the final rotation. Big Ten takes both spots to nationals.

If an individual qualifier is unable to compete, does an alternate get to go? Such as the next highest ranked athlete? Or is the spot just forfeited?

I would like to know if there’s still deductions for pulling down on leotards after saluting judges? I saw Tatiana from UCLA salute judges, then pull on leotard then start her beam routine, also on floor after Jordan C. Saluted the judges she also pulled on the front and the back of her Leo before she started her routine she still got a 10? I remember yrs.ago, Florida missed out on nationals because Van Fleet pulled on her Leo, and got a deduction that disqualified the team
