Welcome to Behind The Scenes!

BTS is a weekly Q&A podcast just for club gym nerd members! We’re providing daily coverage after each day of competition during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! It’s our appreciation love letter to club members for supporting the show. Here’s how to ask questions live.

Today, our instant takes from watching day three of event finals. Today is beam, high bar and p-bars. Iordache withdrew from beam finals putting Japan’s Ashikawa in at the last half of warmups.

    • Simone returned to the podium and didn’t die on her beam dismount; Chenchen remained the beam queen, historic medal for Turkey on Pbars from Arican, Zou regained his p-bars crown;  Sam Mikulak went out with a happy hit and Daiki’s HB was redonkulously good.

Do you think this Olympics will make Simone more likely to retire or make a comeback for Paris?

  2. Emily Corkey

How did Jordan and Grace get to stay in the country so long? I loved their cheering section but how were they able to do that?

  3. ELIZABETH MORGAN

I’m SO MAD! NBC does not have the full replay of this event available on their website AND they tweeted that it won’t be available until after the primetime coverage tonight. This is the ONLY gymnastics event they have done this for and it’s unfair!

Can we get rid of the wolf turn? It is the ugliest thing on earth.
