Welcome to Behind The Scenes!
BTS is a weekly Q&A podcast just for club gym nerd members! If there isn’t a competition, we record every Friday at noon (PST). It’s our appreciation love letter to club members for supporting the show. Here’s how to ask questions live.
Today we grieve the loss of human rights in the United States and discuss how the Supreme Court decision to reverse Roe v. Wade will impact the sport; answer your questions live and read your excellent letters: What are Ukranian Bars; why did Khorkina wear a t-shirt with her own face on it; Full Out 2; girls wrestling recruiting gymnasts; Jessica accidentally throwing her doctor off balance; Olympic transportation and volunteer conditions; two family vault changes; lack of Gadirovas and more.

Thank you. Jessica, you are the only person I have interacted with, even passively, who has cried like I have today. Spencer, you are the perfect person to sooth this all with wit and class. Gymcastic has gotten me through hard times, and I appreciate you both.
Agreed 100%.
Ukrainian Bars: Also, Anna Migorodskaya (she was amazing in the 96 world bars final…and honestly that final was better than Atlanta ) Irina Krasinska, Irina Yarotska and Dariya Zgoba were also phenomenal bars workers.
Hi there! I love your social justice activism! As an abortion funder and advocate. I hope you’ll reconsider using Handmaids in your discussions. Handmaid’s Tale imagery has proliferated, primarily by white women, in recent years. This message erases the fact that Black, undocumented, incarcerated, poor, & disabled women have always had their reproduction controlled in America. I hope you’ll listen to the Black women and other people of color on the front of lines of making abortion accessible and safe for pregnant people. I hope everyone can take a minute to find their local abortion fund and send love their way as they navigate the crisis ahead. Find your local fund at abortionfunds.org.
Isn’t this one supposed to be available for non-members? According to Gymcastic episode 6/27/22? Ok if not, just thought I’d point it out.
Thanks for all the hard work you do!
Thank you for your honesty and statements. I live in one of those states where our rights were removed, and it’s terrifying. The gravity of the situation has not been accurately depicted for me until I watched this episode. ❤️
Spencer, thank you for your humor. As a National rated judge who judges NCAA, I will not accept a college meet assignments that takes place in one of the thirteen states that had a trigger law. PERIOD! I hope others will follow.
