Welcome to College & Cocktails!
College & Cocktails combines our weekly Behind The Scenes Q&A live podcast with a college meet of the week. We start after the college meet ends on Friday nights (Pacific time). It’s our appreciation love letter to club members for supporting the show. Here’s how to ask questions live.
We are talking about all the Friday meets with special focus on Florida at LSU. We’re going live right here on this page around 7:30pm Pacific after the meet ends. For more info on how to watch your favorite elites, Olympic and World medalists all year long, check out The Balance Beam Situation’s schedule with links.

Thanks. I’m going to have to be careful what I comment too soon I’m not known as “that judge.” It’s been 6 years since I judged NCAA. I had wanted to possibly jump back in, but I had to pull out of our season here I AZ for health reasons. I have a national rating. I’m also a UA alumni gymnast from the dark ages (83 graduate). I was at the meet with Washington last Friday and UA won by. 0.05. I don’t know if the right team won. I did think we were fairly close got matched going into this one. Can’t wait for next Sunday when UCLA comes to town:
my comment last night would’ve been about holding the end pose. If I had to guess, it started with DP Nationals held in AZ last year. A bunch of us volunteered at the meet. I was a line judge on floor and another judge timed the floor routines. So, I got to witness it. There were several who kept moving and went overtime! Yes, OT on floor and inquiries to go with it.
