I am sorry for being dense, but I am confused by the new fantasy set-up and I have questions....

I do want to mention that I was a Math major in college, and a former high school Math teacher, so it isn't the numbers but rather the wording that is a little unclear to me.

1) If I pick 6 AA and 6 on each event, don't I have 7 people on each event total?

Or is what you are doing counting the best 5 of 6 on each individual event and then separately the best 5 of 6 of my AA people?

So my max score would be 50 V + 50 UB + 50 BB + 50 FX + 200 AA = 400?

2) If we pick 6 all arounders and as, an example, the following scenario happens:

Only 4 of them actually go all around.

The other two gymnasts do events that compliment, so one does V and FX for a total of 19.8 while the other does UB and BB for a total of 19.7.

Is the 5th AA score the 19.8, or could the two scores be combined to make a single AA of 39.5?  I am guessing not, but it would be nicer...

There are MANY other scenarios of course, but the question is, do we just get the 5 highest total scores for the 6 AA gymnasts?

Here I want to mention that, with the increased number of scholarships, it seems that it is LESS likely that as many gymnasts will be doing AA.  So this is a real guessing game and a LOT of people are going to end up with AA scores closer to 10, 20, or 30 if we are not allowed to combine scores from gymnasts.  Having listened to most of the coach interviews on allthingsgympod, it seems that many coaches are planning to "save" their gymnasts and not have them do AA every week.

3) When will lineups close each week?

THANX!

Laura
