BOSTON—Jessica O’Beirne, creator and host of the popular GymCastic podcast, will moderate a panel at the esteemed MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (SSAC) in Boston on March 7. O’Beirne was asked to assemble the panel entitled, Gymnastics’ Rebalancing Act: AI Judging, Analytics, and Economics to will feature olympic medalists and industry leaders.
“Gymnastics judging has evolved significantly, presenting new opportunities to enhance fan engagement through data-driven systems,” said O’Beirne. “I’m honored to lead this panel of experts and discuss how AI is shaping scoring and the future of the fan experience.”
Gymnastics is the most-viewed Olympic sport and top women’s college sport, presenting a unique opportunity to boost fan engagement and economic expansion leading up to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. This panel will explore cutting-edge solutions like Fujitsu’s AI Judging Support System and the USOPC’s International Scouting Analytics project, which played a key role in securing Olympic medals in Paris.

- Mohini Bhardwaj, Olympic medalist, NCAA Champion, owner of Oregon Olympic Athletics and U.S. brevet judge
- Brody Malone, World Champion and Olympic medalist
- Josh Dixon, former Team USA gymnast, current VC Partner with Profluence Sports Capital
O’Beirne will also lead a discussion on the emerging economic ecosystem within gymnastics, including athlete-driven revenue opportunities, sponsorship growth, and innovative platforms that allow gymnasts to capitalize on their success.
