Seeking recommendations for which broadcasts in addition to NBC I should watch this Olympics. I just downloaded a VPN and was thinking (given that I only speak English) of trying to access and watch the BBC or an Australian broadcast. It is my first time doing this so unsure what to search for.
Recommendations and links would be helpful. Thank you all!
BBC streams on YouTube. I’ve watched the World’s that way. I can’t find anything about them streaming the Olympics and likely the media might have different rules in this case. The commentary is sooo different. Like a “wolf turn” is the “girls doing their spins.” They are nice about every last gymnast, rarely critical. Everything is lovely. Super different than NBC commentary. So I would look at YouTube for them as a starting point. USA gymnastics does a live stream of their own as well. The real difference is in how many athletes you will see (definitely more with the BBC) and the commentary. But you can watch live blogging for commentary too.
thank's guys....
CBC has a pretty nice set up and no need to make an account.
If you have peacock, the commentary team is from (I believe) Eurosport or FIG streaming, so it's very different from NBC
@reginald-powell, I haven't come across non-American commentators yet on Peacock but good to know that it is there. I will just need to search more / better. Thank you!
I discovered this yesterday and wanted to pass it on. If you have Peacock Premium, they do have all the "World Feeds" where you get Ollie and Blythe commentating (although sometimes you get a world feed video but with Laurie and John's comments). Just look for the Women's competition you want WITHOUT the "TV" in parentheses. It also says "World Feed" at the end of the description. You know, for those of you that love the US, but really wanted to see Italy and China too. 🙂
@miriam-ruthford I tried this but their voices are so low I can't hear them very well - I can mostly just hear the music and the crowd. Which is frustrating because I'm not a fan of Laurie's commentary and wanted another option.
@miriam-ruthford Yes! This is the kind of broadcast I need. Thrilled to be able to watch it via Peacock. Thanks for the helpful instructions.
