I was watching the instagram live Aleah and Kiya hosted before their hype night (the recording is on LSU gymnastics instagram) and they talked about their beam music and how they each had a particular song for their beam routine. Watching their hype night I heard the songs playing for each beam routine (and a lot of the songs had words!) While the gymnasts didn’t necessarily have exact choreo to the music, their routines definitely seemed to go with the music choices. Is this an NCAA thing, an LSU thing, or just a hype night thing? This is my first NCAA season, so I wasn’t sure if this is common (or even allowed). Can gymnasts have beam music during NCAA completions? And if so, is it common? Obsessed with the idea of beam music
