First time playing in the fantasy league! I was wondering if the price will change for gymnasts week by week within the season? Also, out of curiosity, how do you price the freshmen if you don't have NCAA scores from previous years for them?
I'd assume that they priced the freshmen according to how they predicted they'd do in college. Say someone is an incredibly consistent level 10 gymnast who has a big 1.5 on vault and will very likely make lineups, their price goes up. The ones where you expect them to take a little time to adjust are priced lower. I'd see that being the case with Josc as she didn't have the most clean form in elite, which is super important in NCAA, so that's why her price is lower than say a gymnast like Chio who had great execution.

These are great questions Megan. The prices don't change week to week, but we might change them once (maybe twice) for the entire season. We try to balance keeping things interesting and exciting while also not forcing people to change their lineups every week. (If we/when we change the pricing, it would force everyone to redo everything since many people would be out of budget).
In pricing the freshman, we looked at their club/elite careers and the scores they recorded. It's not perfect since the gymnasts competed at different levels and were therefore subject to different levels of scrutiny in the scores they received for various levels of difficulty. That's why we do want to update the scores at least once this season, which will likely happen soon.
