"Overseas spectators will be barred from attending the Tokyo Summer Olympics in an attempt to lessen pandemic risks... Tickets purchased by overseas residents will be refunded."
Here is a really good opinion piece from Sally Jenkins https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2021/05/05/japan-ioc-olympic-contract/.
She has some great information that I had not seen before, including the amount of medical resources the host country is required to put on "stand-by" for the Olympics per their contract with IOC. Would love to hear Jess' reaction to this.
[UPDATE] Japan now allowing 50% capacity for Japanese fans or up to 10,000 fans in attendance.
