Here are the drinks for the first 10 weeks of College & Cocktails! Regionals will get its own mini-menu, and the menu for Nationals will feature cocktails for each team that makes it (but I'll post that closer to the end of the season...) Each week has both a Boozy Beverage with a Non-Alcoholic counterpart-- supplemental drinks inspired by weekly C&C episodes will get posted as they come into existence and might not always have an N/A option.

Most specialty liqueurs can be found at big-box liquor stores like Bevmo or Total Wine & More. Not only that, but they usually can be found in mini-bottle form if you don't want to buy a whole bunch. Non-basic juices I usually source from places like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or Sprouts. Fresh is best in all cases, but not always realistic. You can still make a great drink with bottled juices!

Enjoy responsibly, and of course, while watching Gymnastics.

Cheers!

Week 1: The Stick Gimmick
In honor of the Super Sixteen meet in the opening week, this winter refresher has a Stick Gimmick of its own.

Boozy

2oz Bourbon
.75oz Pomegranate Liqueur
.75oz Pomegranate Juice
.75oz Clementine Juice
Prosecco

Non-Boozy
1.5oz Pomegranate Juice
1.5oz Clementine Juice
Sprite

Make the Drink:
* Combine Bourbon, liqueur, and juices in a glass with ice. Top with Prosecco, and garnish with a Clementine Wheel and an awkward cinnamon stick that may just be there to get the crowd worked up.
* N/A version, build all ingredients in a glass with ice. Garnish the same as the boozy one!

1oz Clementine Juice
Elderflower Soda (or Ginger Ale)
Fresh Thyme

N/A
2oz Clementine juice
1oz Elderflower Syrup
Elderflower Soda (or Ginger Ale)
Fresh thyme

Clap a few sprigs of fresh Thyme between your hands like you're trying to make a chalk-cloud for your first promo-video. Put that in a glass along with some ice, add in your vodka, liqueur, and juice, (or juice and syrup for the n/a version) then top with chosen soda and more fresh thyme.

BONUS DRINK: The Dial 1-800-Kazakhstan
So in Kazakhstan, they drink a lot of vodka and a lot of tea, and their national drink is based off of fermented mare's milk... so... future Olympians, good luck!

Boozy
2oz vodka
1.5oz chai concentrate
1oz coffee liqueur
1.5oz heavy cream

N/A
3oz chai concentrate
3oz dairy of choice

Week 3: The Unintentional Dismount
One too many of these and you, too, can perform an unintentional dismount from something.

Boozy
2oz Reposado Tequila
1oz St George Spiced Pear Liqueur
1.5oz Pear Nectar
.5oz Lime Juice
1oz Cinnamon Clove Simple Syrup
Fresh Rosemary

Non-Boozy
3oz Pear Nectar
1.5oz Cinnamon Clove Simple Syrup
1oz Lime Juice
Fresh Rosemary
Soda Water

Meet Week Prep: Cinnamon Clove Simple Syrup
.5c (100g) Brown Sugar
.5c Boiling Water
2 Cinnamon Sticks
6-8 Whole Cloves

In a mason jar or other air-tight container, combine all ingredients. Wait until cool, secure the top, then stash in the fridge until next week's cocktail. Leave the spices in the syrup until you're ready to use it.
** Will keep up to 4 weeks in the fridge

Prep Your Glass:
On a safe surface (like a plate) light a small sprig of fresh rosemary on fire. Take your glass and place it upside down over the rosemary until the fire goes out and the glass fills up with smoke. Leave the glass upside down over the rosemary while you make your cocktail.

Make Your Drink:
Combine all ingredients (except soda water) in a shaker with ice; shake to chill. Double-strain into your prepped glass, top off with ice and soda water.

Stick the Landing:
Garnish with fresh sprig of Rosemary

**if you can't find the Pear Liqueur (or just don't want to buy it for one drink lol) increase the Pear Nectar to 2oz and the Simple Syrup to 1.25oz.

[That Pear Liqueur is DELICIOUS though. Very much recommended just to have if you’re building a home bar. Great in sparkling wine or on its own over ice.]

Bonus Cocktail: The Dead Gina
This one’s a shot with no N/A counterpart, and if you were around for last week's C&C then you know why. Shake all ingredients with ice to chill, strain into a short glass and knock it back like you’re Gina….

.25oz vodka
.25oz melon liqueur
.25oz amaretto
.25oz cranberry juice

Drinks for Regionals! Only one drink does not have an N/A counterpart, and that's because (like the drink says) Commentary is Hard... Enjoy!

——————

Sudden Blood Deathmatch
A riff on a Blood and Sand felt like an appropriate homage to the teams in the first round of regionals.

Boozy
1.5oz Lismore Speyside Single Malt Scotch
.5oz Cherry Heering Liqueur
.5oz Sweet Vermouth
.25oz Cinnamon Clove Simple Syrup (recipe from Week 3)

Boozy
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake everything with the intensity of those head-to-head elimination meets. Double-strain into a frozen glass.

(N/A)
Muddle 5-6 cherries in a cocktail shaker with Cinnamon Clove Syrup. Add in the orange juice and liquid smoke, and just like with the boozy version, shake vigorously with ice to chill. Double-strain into a frozen glass and top with soda water.

Stick the Landing
Garnish with an orange peel and Luxardo Cherry.

——————

What Happens in the Air, Stays in the Air
The final sparkles make for a deduction-free beverage, regardless of how it looked going from point A to point B.

1.5oz Pineapple Juice
1oz Lime Juice

We made it to Nationals!! My initial intention was to make a drink for every team, but with the way the season went I was inspired in a different direction. Good luck to all teams involved, including your livers!

Cheers!

------------

Agent of Chaos
The unexpected always delivers something memorable!

4 whole limes
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
3 cups water
1.5oz Cachaça per beverage

Make the Drink
Cut the limes into quarters. Combine everything in a blender and blend for 15 seconds. Do not over blend! Chaos is good, but too much makes for a bitter experience... HMMM.
Strain everything through a fine mesh strainer, pressing on the solids to get as much liquids as possible. Serve over ice, and if going boozy, stir in 1.5oz Cachaça.

Stick the Landing
Garnish with a Lime Wheel

------------

On Your Highest Toe
This decadent libation will automatically put you on your Highest Toe.

Boozy
Clementine Izze
1oz Heavy Cream
.75oz Raspberry Liqueur
.75oz Amaretto

N/A
Clementine Izze
1oz Heavy Cream
.5oz Raspberry Syrup
.5oz Orgeat (Almond Syrup)

Make the Drink
Fill a your glass of choice with ice, pour in the liqueurs or syrups. Top with Clementine Izzie leaving at little room at the top of the glass. Gently add heavy cream over the top. Admire the perfect relevé that is the layering of this drink before stirring to enjoy.

Stick the Landing
Garnish with a lemon twist. That perfect little corkscrew better be on its highest toe as well!

------------

Individual Qualifier
This Agua Fresca can shine all by itself or with a team of spirits. Recipe makes 2 N/A or 3-4 Boozy portions.

Meet Week Prep: Peach Pineapple Agua Fresca
3 ripe peaches, peeled and cubed
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
2  cups water
3oz lime juice
2oz simple syrup

Blend fruit with 1 cup of water and pass through a fine mesh strainer. Stir in the remaining water, lime juice, and simple syrup. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.

Make the Drink
Pour over fresh ice in your favorite glass. If going boozy, 1.5oz spirit of choice in the glass with ice first, then top with Agua Fresca.

Stick the Landing
Garnish with a sprig of slapped mint and a lime wheel.

-----------

Tiebreak Winner
Bust out the celebratory bubbles and glitter and celebrate the fact that you're on the cool side of math.

Boozy
2-3 tablespoons fruit Sorbet of choice
.25 barspoon Cocktail Glitter
Prosecco
Fresh Mint

N/A
2-3 tablespoons fruit Sorbet of choice
.25 barspoon Cocktail Glitter
Lemon Soda
Fresh Mint

Make the Drink
In your glass of choice, drop a few spoonfuls of your favorite fruit Sorbet. Pour your bubbles of choice over the Sorbet and you can dig in with a spoon or allow to melt and flavor the bubbles.

------------

Rainbow Stickers All Over Our Eyes
"You best believe [we're] going to walk in there with rainbow stickers all over our eyes." - Margzetta Frazier

Boozy
Shirakabegura Mio Sparkling Sake
.25 bar spoon Cocktail Glitter
A Rainbow of Frozen Fruits

N/A
Lemon Seltzer
1oz Lemon Oleo Saccharum
.25 bar spoon Cocktail Glitter
A Rainbow of Frozen Fruits

Make the Drink
Collect and cut up your Rainbow of fruits, freeze them ahead of time.
In a tall glass, layer the frozen fruit like a rainbow. For mine, I start with dark cherries on the bottom, raspberries, mango, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries. Dust a little Cocktail Glitter over the top, then fill the glass with Sparkling Sake (or Lemon Seltzer+Lemon Oleo). This light ABV refresher will help you keep your head in the game for the fight for justice.

Stick the Landing
Garnish with a cocktail umbrella to cast appropriate shade on human rights violations.
