After three weeks into the NCAA season we’ve already experienced a few surprises. Who would have thought that Sage Kellerman would be the top vaulter in the nation over the always-dynamic Haleigh Bryant. We’re also excited to see a strong showing by Cal this season with great scores throughout their lineup, but none more exceptional than Mya Lauzon. In our second power ranking of the year we also get our first freshmen on the list, with Lily Smith and Konnor McClain. As the season progresses and we see more routines we’re excited to see how our ranking continues to adjust. We’d love to hear your thoughts on who you think should be higher, lower or who got snubbed and why.

Currently ranked 2nd in the all-around after a handful of meets. Through 12 routines only one has scored lower than a 9.9. She’s also recorded a 10.0—and it’s not on her strongest event.

The surprise top-ranked all-arounder after three weeks of competition, hasn’t put a toe wrong to lead Cal to the No. 2 spot in the nation. Where Haleigh has one routine below a 9.9, Mya has only two. We’re excited to see Cal emerge as a top-tier threat in the rankings.

Maile has hopped up on the beam three times this season and scored a perfect 10 twice. That alone makes you want her on your roster. Her beam is as close as we’ve seen to an automatic 10 in NCAA in two decades (see Jeanette Antolin’s vault 2003-2004). We’re considering her beam fall in between the 10s a fluke. We also can’t discount that she’s the reigning all-around champion even though she hasn’t competed in the all-around yet this season.

Currently the No. 1 bars worker in the country, the narrative of this being the year Raena’s gets her due has been strong so far. Yet, another gymnast with nothing lower than 9.875 over 12 routines.

We knew she would be important in her 5th season and boy has she delivered. Sierra now holds the record for Michigan’s highest all-around score in school history. She’s currently averaging a 39.550 in the all-around through three meets.

Alabama currently ranks 6th in the country and Luisa Blanco, who is ranked 5th in the all-around, is a big reason why. She’s currently ranked 2nd on uneven bars and all but two routines across all apparatus are outside of 9.9+.

Unranked in our preseason power ranking (and not even our honorable mentions—we have shame), Faith has been an absolute rock for the Sooners. She competed in the all-around only three times all of last season and now you can’t imagine that roster without her in the lineup. Faith is currently ranked No. 3 on beam and No. 10 on vault.

To be honest, half this list could be Sooners. And when you think of Oklahoma, you think of the assassin that is Jordan Bowers. It’s so tight at the top that one short vault landing for Bowers has her ranked outside the top 10 in the all-around. She won’t be for long.

Selena has now scored 33 straight routines of 9.8 or higher. This puts her in the top 10 in the all-around. For a UCLA team that has been a little up an down in the early going, that’s vital.

The Olympian has been a two-event specialist this season, competing uneven bars and balance beam with a high of 9.975 on bars and a 9.95 on beam. In the preseason Jade indicated she would pare down her NCAA workload and so far that has been true.

As we write this, Leanne only has two meets to base her current ranking and only one where she competed solidly across all events. Her one floor score does put her atop the floor rankings.

The first freshman on our list this season and Lily may be the best of the bunch on bars. She’s already posted a 9.975 and a 10 and has since added a 9.95 on beam and a 9.925 on floor.

Speaking of freshman. The 2022 U.S. National Champion scored a 10 in her third career college routine, which speaks to what is to come. In three meets she’s competed on one, two and three apparatus. Will she get her way into other lineups?
You are viewing perfection.

The top ranked handspring pike 1/2 vault in NCAA belongs to Kellerman, not Bryant. We all saw that coming, right? Sage’s vault might be the most sure thing in NCAA right now. Three vaults and nothing lower than a 9.925

Her opening floor pass *chef’s kiss*. The qualified Olympian has been massive for LSU on beam and floor, all but one routine above a 9.9. Now, when do we get her into this bars lineup.

eMjae started the season with a 10.000 on balance beam and a Cal all-around record. Not too shabby. She’s outside the top 10 on all four apparatus, but when it clicks (like it did in week 2) look out!

Not only is she still the best NCAA bars worker, but maybe the best uneven bars form outside of 1990s Ukraine. She’s already received a 9.975 this season… will we finally see her get a 10? If that weren’t enough, she’s ranked 10th in the all-around averaging above a 39.5.

In her one all-around meet this season she posted a 39.6. She’s struggled a little bit on bars, but has looked her normal electric self on floor. With that said, it’s her beam that has her highest score, 9.95.

Ella Hodges?!?! Her beam and floor routines are phenomenal. Put her in a UCLA, Oklahoma, or Florida leo and she would have at least one 10 this year already.
I would also consider Payton Harris.
