Has anyone ever attended an NCAA meet at Yale, New Haven, and do you know how admission works? Do you buy tickets at the door? I keep checking their website, and there's absolutely no information except that the meets are scheduled there. Thank you for any group wisdom (and if anyone wants to meet up at any, let me know)!!
I haven't attended at Yale, but I'm thinking that there might not be an admission fee, especially if there isn't any info on the website. I just went to a meet at Springfield College and there wasn't a fee.
I need to know about wheelchair access so I’m going to email the coach. I’ll ask about admission in that message. I tend to think Katelyn is correct that it’s likely free. I’ve been meaning to do this for years.
Don’t hold your breath for a definitive answer. I tried emailing one of the Springfield College coaches & never heard back. Since for that I’d have to take the train, I didn’t risk it (the meet I was interested in was packed so I’m glad I didn’t). I live fairly close to Yale so, even if I don’t hear back, I may just roll over to one of the home meets & see what the deal is.
Gymnastics is free entrance.
The only sports at Yale that you have to purchase tickets for is Football, M Basketball, W Basketball, Men's Hockey, and Men's Lacrosse.
Payne Whitney Gymnasium has wheelchair access at the front entrance off Tower Street. There is also access at the back of the building in the parking lot, but the back door is usually locked.
You can call the staff at the gymnasium to get definitive answers. (203) 432-1444.
