LA Times has an article titled," Simone Biles excels as a human, fails as a Olympics gymnast". Does anyone know the premise of the article? I don't have a subscription so I can't read it. I'd imagine by the title the article is preposterous.

It's seems like click bait mostly. Doesn't really say anything that the title doesn't. She failed as an athlete because she "refused to" compete, which is just another man not understanding when she's been saying.

I guess it's kind of impressive that so many of the hot takes think that someone who trained for 5 years for this competition, through a pandemic and an extra year, just got to Tokyo and said "nah, gonna run chalk bins suckas" to her teammates.
