The Oklahoma Sooners are marching toward a three-peat in a record-setting season. With the highest NQS in NCAA history, it’s no surprise that 25 percent of this Power Ranking consists of Sooners. In comparison to our pre-season ranking a few gymnasts have jumped back up in the rankings where we thought they would be, including Jordan Bowers and Leanne Wong. For the few gymnasts who slipped a few spots, it wasn’t because they haven’t been performing; rather it’s because of the exceptional performances by their peers that warrant recognition. With just a few weeks until post-season, here’s who we’re putting on our power ranking roster and why.

Previous Ranking: 8
If you look at just the NQS, Jordan is currently the No. 2 ranked all-around gymnast in the country. What that ranking doesn’t mention is that Jordan is ranked in the top 11 on all four events and top 3 on two events. Haleigh Bryant is ranked in the top 10 on all four events, but is only ranked in the top 5 on one event.
𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜.
That's the only word we have to describe @jordansbowers on beam tonight. It's a season-high 9.95!

The No. 1 ranked all-around gymnast in the country has been outstanding across the board. She’s recorded a 10 on every single event this season except for her “best” event, vault, where she’s currently ranked 2nd in the nation.

Leanne started the season a little conservatively, but has really started to turn it up. She’s now recorded at least 39.725 AA each of her last four meets and has posted the top all-around score in the nation: 39.875.

Ranked in the top 5 on three events: No. 2 on floor and No. 4 on vault and beam. Not even Haleigh Bryant nor Jordan Bowers are top 5 in three events.

The floodgates have opened for Raena on floor. It’s the floor routine we’ve seen her do 100 times, but the 10.0 seal has been cracked and she now has three 10s on the season. Listen to this run for her last six meets: 10.0, 10.0, 9.975, 9.975, 9.975, 10.0. During that stretch she’s also posted a 10 on uneven bars and is ranked in the top 25 on every event.

What does it take to be the No. 1 beamer in the country? How about four perfect 10s in a row (and counting). Like Maile, Ragan hasn’t competed vault this season, but is ranked in the top 20 on all three events she competes.

Legendary basketball coach John Wooden would say he wished everyone could win a championship, but he would never wish someone could win it twice. The Sooners understand the pressure of everyone taking their best swing at them. Faith Torrez, Jordan Bowers, Audrey Davis, Katherine LeVasseur and the rest of the Sooner squad are not only stepping up, but when other teams are giving their best, they are responding with the best scores in NCAA history. For Faith that means competing in the all around every week and finding herself in the top 10 on three of the four events she’s contributing.
OKAY, FAITH!
It's a career-high 9.975 for the sophomore!

To be honest, this ranking almost seems unfair. eMjae is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation ahead of her teammate Mya and is in the top 10 on three events. Unlike Mya, however, eMjae is not in the top 5 on any event. One distinction she does carry from this season’s performance is the highest all-around score in school history: 39.8250.

In the last four weeks Jade has started to compete in the all around, which is a steady ramp-up as she balances college and elite. The Olympic gold medalist and 3x World Champion has all the skills to be the best gymnast in the nation and in the two events she’s eligible for ranking Jade ranks 4 (UB) and 16 (BB). On floor she’s posted three 9.925 and a 9.975 in her last four meets.

The No. 10 ranked gymnast in the country appears in the top 25 on all four events—ranking 6 on both bars and vault (where she has a perfect 10 this season).

Although her scores don’t reflect it, she is the best bar worker in the country. Audrey Davis scored four 9.975s this season before she finally got her first career 10. In fact, in her 56 uneven bars routines for Oklahoma 44 of them have been 9.9 or better with 11 of them 9.975. What puts her this high on the list is that she’s not just a bars worker… she’s an exceptional all arounder, currently ranked 12th in the country (No. 2 on UB and No. 11 on BB).

The top ranked vaulter in the country, Makenzie Wilson, is also making her debut on our power ranking list. Her vault NQS of 9.95 is perhaps one of the surest things in the NCAA right now. In recent weeks Makenzie has also made appearances on the floor exercise where she’s gone 9.925 in three of her four recent routines.
