Hi GymCastic,
Just a quick comment about the water bottles anchoring the bars. In my experience as an older, taller, heavier JO gymnast who was a strong bar worker and really used the bars to swing…whenever I went to a meet with water bars anchoring it did create problems. The bars never felt secure and were much more unstable than when they were anchored. Maybe the bars at NCAA were anchored better than some of the meets where I competed, but the water bottle set up did not always feel safe and I think was more of an issue than simply adapting to a new situation. No offense to Evan but I\’d guess he has never competed UB! (Do they ever use water bottles to anchor men\’s HB? Serious question).
Just my two cents. Thanks for everything. Love the podcast!
