While I agree Donnell shouldn\’t have been left off the national team, your argument that it\’s not about work ethic, it\’s about competition, is kind of invalidated by the fact that Donnell competed very poorly, and that\’s what the decision was based on. I agree it\’s a terrible message to say you would have been better off not competing at all, but he wasn\’t in a petition position, he competed at nationals and that\’s what they had to base his selection/non-selection according to the rules. You can\’t both compete, and petition; it\’s one or the other, and Donnell chose competing.
Jessica, I think you’ll be very glad to hear that I called “Nabs!” when Sunisa did her Nabieva.
